About the 34-Hour Restart
The 34-hour restart allows commercial motor vehicle drivers to reset their 60-hour or 70-hour clock by taking a valid period of 34 consecutive hours off duty.
Compliance Tip
Ensure you are logged as "Off Duty" or "Sleeper Berth" for the entire consecutive 34-hour period. Even 1 minute of "On Duty" status will break the restart.
